The Church of Christ is a non-denominational church
in Prescott Valley, governed by God's word.
We identify ourselves as the "church of Christ" because that is one of
the names used to identify the church that we read about in the Bible
( "The churches of Christ salute you." Rom. 16: 16. )
The Bible teaches that Jesus intended to build (establish) one church: “. . . I will build My church. . .” Matthew 16:18.
He died to save only one church: “Christ also loved the church
and gave Himself for her” Ephesians 5:25.
Many denominational churches have developed over the years, establishing
man-made teachings and traditions not found in the Bible, even
glorifying the "founder" of their particular church.
If a teaching or practice cannot be found in the Bible, we do not want to
practice or teach it either. By following this simple aim we can be the
same church we read about in the pages of the New Testament.
